On May 28, Sales Institute HEC Montréal brought together its partners, collaborators, and members of its network for its Partners and Collaborators Evening.
The event was held to thank the partners, professors, collaborators, and engaged individuals who contribute to professionalize sales and the Institute’s development and visibility. Members of the academic and business communities were invited to an evening dedicated to recognition, meaningful exchanges, and strengthening relationships.
A Cocktail Reception to Encourage Connections
The evening began with a welcome cocktail reception, giving attendees the opportunity to meet, introduce themselves, and connect in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
This opening portion of the evening allowed guests to meet people from a variety of backgrounds connected to the activities of Sales Institute HEC Montréal. Some collaborate on its projects, others contribute through their expertise, commitment, or support, while many take part in initiatives involving academic research and professional practice.
The cocktail reception provided an opportunity to build new relationships, continue ongoing conversations, and get to know the members of the Institute’s network more closely.
Recognizing Each Person’s Contribution
Bruno Lussier, Director of Sales Institute HEC Montréal, addressed the guests to welcome them and thank them for participating.
During his remarks, he emphasized the importance of every person’s contribution. Although their roles and relationships with the Institute may vary, they all contribute, in their own way, to its development, visibility, and mission.
His remarks also highlighted the importance of the network surrounding the Institute. Developing a leading sales culture does not rely solely on research and teaching: it also depends on dialogue with the business community, continued engagement, and the sharing of complementary experiences, knowledge, and perspectives.
Continuing the Conversation Over Dinner
Around the table, attendees had the opportunity to discuss their experiences, projects, and current issues in the field of sales. These conversations helped strengthen relationships among members of the network and generate new ideas for collaboration.
The evening provided a valuable space to bring together the academic and business communities, two worlds that the Institute continuously seeks to connect. These exchanges are essential to ensuring that research remains grounded in the realities faced by organizations and that the knowledge developed can have a tangible impact on sales practices.
A Network at the Heart of the Institute’s Mission
The Partners and Collaborators Evening highlighted the importance of the network to the mission of HEC Montréal’s Sales Institute.
Through the commitment, trust, and collaboration of its partners and collaborators, the Institute can continue building bridges between research, teaching, and the business community. This network helps support innovation, promote knowledge sharing, and advance practices in the field of sales.
The Institute sincerely thanks everyone who attended for their participation, commitment, and the quality of the conversations that shaped the evening.
We would also like to thank Dave Giguère of Databricks, whose support contributed to the success of the event.
We are proud to be able to count on such an engaged network and look forward to continuing these collaborations.
